       Liverpool Football Club (known also as Liverpool or the Reds) is an English football club based in the City of Liverpool. Currently Liverpool are participants in the Premiership.

       Liverpool have won five UEFA Champions League trophy (formerly the Champions Cup) and is the club with the holder of the UEFA Champions League title ever in the UK and the third in Europe with FC Bayern München, after Real Madrid and AC Milan. Besides Liverpool is also the holder of each three UEFA Europa League title and the UEFA Super Cup.

       In domestic competition, Liverpool is a club with 18 English league titles, seven FA Cups, as well as 7 times League Cup winners.

       Liverpool was founded in 1892 and joined the Football League the following year. The club has played at Anfield Stadium since its formation, located approximately 4.8 km from the city center of Liverpool.

       Most successful period in Liverpool's history was the 1970s and 1980s when Bill Shankly and Bob Paisley led the club to eleven league titles and seven European trophies.

       Liverpool has a long history of rivalry with neighbors Everton club and also with Manchester United. Competition with derby club known as the Merseyside Derby. Liverpool is known to have seporter fonder, which are located throughout the world. They were called The Kop. Liverpool national anthem is "You'll Never Walk Alone".

       In the history of the Premier League, Liverpool is one of the seven teams that have never been relegated.
